Auriculotherapy

A variation of acupuncture, auriculotherapy is the stimulation of the auricle part of the external ear for the diagnosis and treatment of pain, muscular skeletal disorders, addiction, and a broad range of medical conditions in other parts of the body. The stimulation can be done with acupuncture needles, massage and subtle electrical frequencies. For many conditions we use pellets taped to specific points on the ear which are stimulated by the patient over a course of days to receive more continuous benefits.

At Berkeley Community Acupuncture we offer all of the above methods of auriculotherapy as part of individual or community treatment. We also offer more in depth individual treatments using needle free stimulation of ear points by subtle electrical frequencies. An individual auriculotherapy treatment lasts between 15 and 45 minutes during which the practitioner does a thorough diagnostic assessment and treats both systemic and specific conditions. This sophisticated method of modern auriculotherapy is highly effective for many medical conditions and most patients find that it works wonders at reducing stress and pain.
